Instructions for Exhibitors
Printing
Please provide high quality
prints on paper, or other alternative process surfaces. If you do not do your own printing, PhotoPlace
Gallery offers to make an exhibition print on archival paper sized to our mats from your large jpeg or tiff file. The
cost of this service is $30 plus tax, including shipping of the print to you after the exhibition and can be paid via PayPal
on our website by clicking VPW print service. If you would like to use this service, please e-mail us at

Free Matting and Framing We will mat
and/or frame works for artists free of charge for the duration of the exhibition, provided photographs are printed to sizes
that will fit our pre-cut mats. See the link on the website for mat sizes and details.
If
a photograph cannot be printed to our mat sizes, the photographer is responsible for matting his or her own work
in a white or cream mat. If you plan to send a photograph that exceeds 16 x 20 inches, please contact
us via e-mail to discuss the size of your frame. Our space is limited and we cannot normally hang frames exceeding
20 inches wide. Please do not use 8-ply matboard together with foamcore backing.
Shipping
Please pack your photographs
carefully for shipping. We will use the same packing materials to return your prints to you, so please make sure they
are sturdy. Use several layers of foamcore or cardboard at least. A padded envelope or a cardboard
mailer is not enough to prevent your photograph from getting banged up. Please, no styrofoam
peanuts. If you are using a mailing tube, take care when rolling your print, being sure not to bend or dimple the paper.
VPW IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES TO WORK RESULTING FROM INADEQUATE PACKING FOR SHIPMENT.
Work should include return postage and a mailing label.
If you do not wish to pay for return shipping, you may donate your print to the VPW silent auction and print sale fund-raiser
that will take place later in the year. If you are return shipping with UPS or Fed Ex,
please provide your account number (not a credit card number).
All work should be shipped by US Postal Service, UPS, or Fed Ex to:

Work should be shipped to arrive no later than Nov. 7th. Please be sure to include the contributor's form with your work.
If you are local and
would prefer to drop your work off in person, please e-mail us to set up a time to do so at the Gallery. Hours: Tues-Fri,
11-4, Sat. 10-3 or by appointment. After the exhibition closes, all work must be picked up within one week
of the closing date.
We will handle your work
with utmost care. However, VPW is not responsible for any damages to work while in our possession. Especially
valuable work should be insured by the artist.
